Types of degrees offered:

Bachelors & Master’s Degrees are offered by Independent colleges e.g. International College of Management, Sydney. Some colleges affiliated with universities offer UG & PG programs e.g. Australian Technical and Management College affiliated with Federation University. These colleges offer Information Technology and Business programs. Colleges in Australia also offer Pathway programs. These Colleges offer ELICOS and Diploma leading to Degree programs e.g. Griffith College leading to Griffith University. Programs are offered in IT, Engineering, Health, Business, Hospitality, etc.

Intake:

The main intakes are in February and July. They are offered by all the universities and private colleges. All the popular courses are offered. There are limited intakes in October and November. They are offered by some of the major universities and private colleges. Business, Information Technology and Engineering are the courses offered.

Work Options:

International students in Australia can have a part-time job while they are pursuing their course or degree. During their course, students are allowed to work for 40 hours per fortnight and full time during their holidays. A new post-study work visa has been introduced by the Government of Australia for international students who complete university degrees in Australia. The most common industries to work in Australia are Finance and Insurance Service, Health Care and Social Assistance, Education and Training and Scientific/Technical Services. In Australia the work hours in most of the jobs are from 9 to 5 giving you enough time for other activities.
